Dr Selman Yavuz Gökce graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2012. He completed his LL.M. in Private Law at Süleyman Demirel University and his Ph.D. at Marmara University. He continues his academic work in commercial and company law and serves as a consultant at La Mer Law & Consultancy.

Gökce began his academic career as a research assistant at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Law in 2014. After also serving at Marmara University Faculty of Law, he returned to Süleyman Demirel University, where he has held the position of Research Assistant (Ph.D.) since 2024.

His research focuses particularly on business enterprise law, negotiable instruments, company law and limited liability companies. His master’s thesis examined the auditing of commercial companies, while his doctoral dissertation addressed the duty of loyalty of shareholders in limited liability companies.

Gökce has authored academic publications and studies in company and limited liability company law. Drawing on this theoretical and academic expertise, he contributes to advisory work on commercial disputes and company law matters.
